foodbank.city Spotlights Food Bank Network, Connecting Every Food Bank to Share Surplus and Coordinate Services

One of the platform's most popular features lets food banks share surplus, coordinate services, and pool volunteer capacity across a collaborative network

October 14, 2026 – foodbank.city, the cloud-based food bank management platform, today highlighted Food Bank Network, one of the most popular features on its platform. Every food bank on foodbank.city is part of a collaborative network — one where organizations can share surplus, coordinate services, and pool volunteer capacity.

Working alone, a single food bank can only stretch as far as its own shelves and staff allow. Food Bank Network puts every foodbank.city organization into that collaborative network, so nearby food banks can work together instead of operating in isolation.

Through the network, food banks can share surplus when they have more than they need, coordinate services with other organizations on the platform, and pool volunteer capacity so help can move where it is needed. The focus is practical collaboration across the foodbank.city community.

Food Bank Network is part of foodbank.city's Network & Collaboration tools and, like every tool in the platform's complete feature set, is included with no extra costs.
